Stan Hulme and his determination to protect the environment was the inspiration for Stan the Stump. He believed in protecting our woodlands and countryside for future generations. In his memory we launched the ‘Stan the Stump’ pack consisting of the book on Wychy Wickies, a poster and two scrolls as well as a ‘Stan the Stump’ log taken from only deceased trees. Money raised will go to the Woodland Association.

Stan's Journey
Stan has his ashes buried under a Mountain Ash tree planted in his memory in Springwood – right next to the picnic bench so he can keep his eye on the families enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
